We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.
For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.
Our school empowers students to organise themselves for daily school life by equipping them with the tools they will require to succeed beyond the walls of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College Kensington (OLSH). Our hope is that students become independent, confident learners, able to navigate the complexity and challenges of the modern world.
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College supports student mental health through onsite counselling services with details to be found on our Student Wellbeing page. Our college is proud to be a part of Sydney Catholic Schools – a system of 150 schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney.
Communicating with Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College
We believe that communication is crucial and continually update parents about learning, procedures and protocols through newsletters, direct letters and on this website. Communication for parents is through the Compass app, which is a place for parents to receive regular updates, snapshots of learning, grade specific information, parent information sessions, school reports, newsletters and notes. There is also a range of online support and advice available through the Parent Portal. Parents are also welcome to visit the office staff if they require assistance.
