Our Catholic school is part of the Catholic Church. We work in partnership with our local parish and priests in order to enrich the spiritual life of the students, staff and families of our school, especially through the celebration of the Sacraments.
The members of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College (OLSH) Kensington, form a diverse educational community founded by the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in 1913, in the tradition of Fr Jules Chevalier, msc.
As a Catholic community of the heart, we strive to give expression to God’s unconditional love for each person, through our compassionate response to others. As members of the OLSH college community, we commit ourselves to developing our students’ faith and love of learning.
As a faith community:
- We will bring an awareness of God’s unconditional love for each person, through Jesus Christ and his mother, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart.
- We will teach the Catholic faith tradition and nurture a meaningful spiritual life and identity.
- We will promote the importance of healthy relationships, family life, and community service.
As an educational community:
- We will celebrate being Catholic.
- We will create and sustain a culture of learning.
- We will provide educational programs which enhance the spiritual, intellectual, moral, emotional, social and physical development of its members.
Making a difference in our world:
- We foster the dignity, self-esteem and integrity of each person.
- We collaborate with others for the good of all.
- We inspire hope and a positive vision for the future.
- continuing the rich tradition of the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart.
